Think I'll Make it as a Movie Critic?

Hey you all!

There I go with the 90s kick again, I just think it's so funny! Ahem, anyway, here I am again. loaded with new things about my life that I should update on!

As you probably know, I live in California, and the California State Fair is happening this year. Well, I went twice! Once to see Martina McBride in concert with my friend's family, and then again with MY family and my friend Jill.

After seeing Martina McBride, I became hooked! By the time I got home, I found a wallpaper of her for my computer, sent her a tweet on Twitter, sent her a letter, and looked up her songs online. Did I mention, my browser now has her picture on it? Yeah, call me crazy!

It was then that I started seeing some of her songs on my favorite videos on Youtube! I actually found three of her songs lurking about in my playlist on there, "This One's For the Girls" , "She's a Butterfly" and wait, that's only two, but I found out that all this time I had been loving the song "This One's For The Girls" and not realizing that it's by Martina McBride! OMG!

Okay, sorry bout that, anyway, the second time I went, I got to go off on my own with my friend and boy did we have a fun time! We even managed to see my aunt and my cousin at the Animation exhibit! Who knew! I saw them again in the next one, with the small animals!

Wow, so much to remeber, so I will put it in list form

  • We went on this yellow roller coaster which was really fun
  • We one little stuffed fish from a balloon game
  • I failed at a basketball shooting game
  • I went on a seemingly harmless ride, (the one I told you about that was at Six Flags? Yeah, read my post about it and you'll see) anyway, this one turned out to be bigger and it made my stomach queasy for the REST OF THE DAY! Curse you ride from "Madeline" the one at the end which Miss Clavel goes on!
  • Oh and it made my signed "Wicked" hat fly right off my head. Some nice girls behind me on the ride told me right away! It landed on this big white box thing, so when I got off, this nice guy threw it to me and I managed to catch it
  • Luckily I hadn't had breakfast, just a piece of gum, so that was sort of lucky
  • Let's see, we also went on this little fire-safety passport thing for little kids, two of the "rangers" reminded me somewhat of Chris Rock, I think, either that or Elijah Kelley, the dude who was in Hairspray
  • We saw a puppet show, which was kind of cute, it was part of the passport thingy
  • I knew every single thing that they taught us, but it was fun to learn about it in a new way, directed at little kids
  • Okay, I didn't know about safe fires and bad fires
  • I got a bandanna
  • This robot guy on a scooter asked my friend is she had been eating the blue crayons again, she had been eating a blue Icee!
  • We asked about a signature reader thingy at the info desk, I gotta admit I was kind of nervous because it was an old guy and I was afraid he wouldn't hear me, I did have to repeat some things, basically it didn't really help
  • I got my picture taken at a News10 weather thingy, I'm on the website, the tall girl in the black shirt and "Wicked" hat.
  • Basically, that's about all we did
When I got home, I ate saltine crackers that my parents brought home for me and watched "Julie/Julia" I think, the crackers helped and they were yummy, I also cried because I hate feeling yucky

The first time I went, I had a funnel cake, kettle corn, a corndog and a lemonade, we watched a parade go by and we also sat on a slanty hill to watch Martina McBride, we waited by this gate to try and see if we could meet her, but then we gave up

I also got a license plate thing with my name on it and lip balm, which tasted like chocolate peanut butter cookies. I wish I had gotten the buttered popcorn one.

Oh, before I wrap this up, I want to say that the second time I went, I wore a shirt that I had gotten from my grandma, it read "careful, or you might end up in my novel" It is now my favorite shirt and I got quite a few comments, good ones, by the way.

I went bowling last night and got three strikes, it took me awhile to warm up , since I had taken the bowling class, but hadn't really bowled since the last day of that class
We also went to Baskin Robbins, did you know that in the new logo, the number 31 is made up of the B and the R? just learned that last night!

Okay, I am tired of blogging right now and trying to remember all the little details about the State Fair and I will blog the next time i get the chance

My Top 10 Favorite Disney movies

My Top 10 Favorite Disney movies (Oh, what the heck, I like them all, but these are my favorites)

10. The Parent Trap (1998)

You may be surprised why this one is my favorite because you were expecting it to be a Julie Andrews movie. I like this because of the storytelling, the flow of the movie, the characters, my favorites are Hallie and Annie, Chessie, the butler guy, and of course the parents. I also like it because everybody has such great chemistry.

I also like it because I can sit through it wihtout shutting it off to take a break or something

9. The Princess Diaries (and the sequel)

I like this movie becuase, well it has Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway has really great acting skills. Mia and the Queen, oh, and Joe are my favorites. My favorite scene would have to be the one where Mia crashes into the trolley. Just a great scene all-around.

The sequel is also awesome because of the mattress scene and Julie Andrews singing "Your Crowning Glory" It's such a heartwarming scene.

Another great scene would have to be the one where the maids sing "Frere Jaques" to distract the Queren and then bang the pots together! I laughed so hard when i first saw the scene

The whole ending is really neat and a treat for the eyes! I have to give it 10 stars!

I'm not going to go through and review each of the rest of my favorites so I will list them in no particular order, although next up would be Lilo and Stitch because it is funny, heartwarming and has great chracters. Pleakley is especiallu funny near the end!

Anyway, here they are

Enchanted

Tinker Bell (Kristin Chenoweth is really awesome in this one)

Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure

Finding Nemo

Toy Story

Toy Story 3 (DA BOMB! I loved it! I normally don't like Pixar Shorts, but this one had the best)

Toy Story 2

Ratatoiuee (Some parts are hard to sit through, but over all, I love the artwork)

UP (Has to be on eof my favorites!)

The Incedibles (Amazing to watch)

Mulan (Funny! Eddie Murphy is the best and I like Mulan, of course, she has some really great lines, I like all the action, but not the main Hun guy with the scary eyes)

Bolt (Once I watched the whole thing, I really liked it. The pigeons were the best)

Well, I hope you liked this and please comment below if you would like me to review some other Disney movies

Oh, The Little Mermaid would have to be in the top because I loved it! Ariel has to be one of my favorite Disney Princesses

How could I forget Mary Poppins? I mean, it was one of my favorites! Julie Andrews was simply practically perfect in every way Dick van Dyke and the two kids were also very good!

Okay, my fingers are getting tired, so see ya, until next time

New Facebook Friends, Farmville and Writing

Hey all you blog readers,

I guess it's time for a new blog post. Boy do I have some new things to write about. First of all, I discovered that two of my wonderful cousins are on Facebook, so I sent out friend requests. I was pretty surprised at the short amount of time in which they responded! Thanks!

The next thing is that I FINALLY got my farmhouse, which cost about 150, 000 coins. yeah, that's alot. I don't know how I achieved it, but I did, thanks to ribbons and owning a heck alot of animals, and alot of different kinds of trees. All I need to do know is finish with lining the yard of the house with hedges.

I don't know if I mentione dthis before, but my parents are currently gone on a trip until Sunday, so I'm home with my rbothers.

Oh, I forgot to say that Despicable Me is one of the best movies ever made! I think the best part were the little yellow minions, Miranda's awesome voice work as the oldest sister of the three girls, Gru and his mom who is played by Dam Julie Andrews, whom I adore, as most of you already know!

I guess that's all for now, I have ot get back to my writing. I'm typing up my writing from a notebook I'm recording my story in. I'm up to 83,000 words and 182 pages! Yeah, that's the longest story I have ever written.

I will update this blog tomorrow or whenever I get a crazy urge to blog,

Auf Weidersein

Toy Story 3, Writing Goals, and Other Things....

Hey you all!

Sorry, that was soo 90s! It's from a Barney home video called, "Barney Goes to School" Please don't judge me, I want to work in a preschool one day! Anyways, Leah Gloria, says, "Hey you all, come look at this calender!" It's like so rad!

Sorry, again, I'm now switching from 90s mode to 2010 mode! Well, today, I went with the kids I work with to see Toy Story 3 for the second time, and it was better the second time around. I didnt laugh as much as the Spanish Buzz part. Pity! (Finding Nemo, where that one dad fish watches Marlin swim frantically away)

I also have a few new writing goals for now until I start college again in the fall. One, every day, I will pick three random words from the dictionary and use them to write a story and Two, um, I hope to finish a notebook I'm writing in and get it typed up so I can start a new notebook, my 4th or 5th, I think for the new semester.

Okay,k also today, I got an autographed picture from Alex Trebek, the host of Jeopardy! I sent him a letter in early Jun e and got something back July 8th! Wow, it was quick, I think it's my quickest response!

It says and I quote, "To Maddie with my best wishes, (signed) Alex Trebek" unquote!

I guess that's all I have to write today! I know, it's a short blog, but I wanted to get something down, I might update in a week, or something. Hey, it's Thursday! Remember my thing? Yeah, I'm sort of early

anyway, adios, dear readers...and Anne!
